Piano Movers in Naples, FL
Moving a piano is not a job for a regular crew and a couple of dollies. Whether it is an upright, a baby grand, or a full concert grand, the weight is unevenly distributed, the finish scratches easily, and the parts inside — strings, hammers, soundboard — can be damaged by one hard bump or a week in the wrong humidity. Hilton Moving and Storage has served Naples since 2010, and our ownership brings 35 years of experience in the moving industry. Moving pianos and other specialty items is part of our regular work, not a sideline.
How We Move a Piano
Every piano move starts with a plan. We look at the instrument, the pickup location, and the destination — stairs, elevators, doorways, flooring — before anyone lifts anything. On moving day our crew:
- Protects the finish with padded wraps and secures the lid and keyboard cover
- Uses piano boards, straps, and dollies made for the job
- Handles grand piano legs and pedals separately when the move calls for it
- Loads and straps the piano in the truck so it cannot shift in transit
If you are getting ready for moving day yourself, our guide on how to prepare a grand piano for moving day walks through what to do before the crew arrives.
Climate-Controlled Piano Storage
Southwest Florida heat and humidity are hard on pianos. Wood swells, glue joints loosen, and tuning drifts. If your piano needs a place to wait between homes or during a renovation, it is kept in our 30,000 square foot climate-controlled warehouse in Naples. Our warehouse storage is staff-managed: your piano is inventoried, wrapped, and handled by our crew, then delivered back when you are ready. There are no self-storage units, keys, or gate codes — no one handles the instrument but us.
Long-Distance Piano Moves
Leaving Southwest Florida, or bringing a piano here from out of state? As an authorized agent of Bekins Van Lines, we handle long-distance moves with the same equipment and the same care, from packing at the origin to placement in your new home.
Where We Move Pianos
We move pianos for homes and businesses across Naples, Marco Island, Bonita Springs, and Estero — single-instrument moves, moves that are part of a full household relocation, and deliveries into storage.
